Nov 22 - Mark Schaller Went out this morning in the fog to try and pick up a few walleye.  I covered a lot of water today, started out at Humbug Marina and caught nothing.  Moved up the the Edison Discharge and picked up one on a #11 Orange Rap.  Moved over to the East side of Calf where I picked up another on a #9 Clown.  Tried the west side of calf and came up empty.  Moved north of calf in 16 feet of water due east of the head of Humbug Island and picked up 3 on a #11 Chartreuse Rap.  All males 16 to 20 inches long and full of baitfish.  water temps were around 47 degrees and clear.  Started at 8:30 am and quit at noon.  I caught the last 3 between 11:30 am and noon.

Nov 15 - Mark Schaller Took a drive down to Luna Pier tonight to see if anything was going on.  Water was crystal clear, no floating weeds, lots of minnows cruising the shoreline and no walleye following them.  I talked to one guy who said he was there until 11:00 pm last night and only two fish were caught.  Apparently Monday (Nov. 9th) they really got into them.  Oh Well.

Oct 21 - Patrick McGrath  Perch fishing Tuesday afternoon south east of Grassy Island. 5 keepers from 3-4 PM. Nothing from 4-5:30. Found keepers in 4' FOW on both green and orange rigs with shiners. Water is clearing up.

July 20 - Chuck Jones We fished in front of Luna Pier Sunday.  13-17 fow water,45 back warts.  Again purple worked best. We caught a 3 person limit.

July 20 - Bill Mezuk Sunday, Pat Waite and I started the day near the Banana Dike and took eight walleye, including one 13 1/2 in. throw-back in 16 F.O.W. using inlines and crawlers and various levels in the water column. The weeds moved in like an armada and we had to abandon that area. We went to Brest Bay, but couldn't keep the silvers off, so we made the run to Ohio waters, straight out from Bolles Harbor (22 F.O.W.). We took five more in two passes on BB's and meat, except for a 25 incher that came on a high line we had out that was a harness 35 ft. behind a 1/2 oz. snap weight, 50 ft. behind the board. The hot spinner was an orange-red holographic blade with red and orange beads. It was a nice day on the water with a low wind and nice "walleye chop".

July 19 - Mark Schaller Went back over to Amherstburg this morning.  Picked up one by the 76 bouy in 22 feet of water.  Moved down to the Hole-in-the-Wall and picked up 4 in 28 feet of water in front of the pink house.  Moved down to the C.C.G. and picked up my final fish in 26 feet of water just ahead of the 60 Bouy.  Each spoon caught 2 fish and the 19 inchers came on Flying Tiger.  One of the 19 inch fish had a 6 inch goby in her belly.  Water was a little dirty, 68 degrees and weeds weren't much of an issue at all.  I also caught a pair of 30 inch muskie's in 24 feet of water up by the 76 bouy.  Those things are starting to be a nuisance.  Started at 7:15 am and quit at 10:20 am.

July 19 - Chuck Jones We fished same spot as Tuesday.  Boat control was very hard so we called it before we fished 3 tickets.   Beats cutting the grass for sure!!!

July 15 - Chuck Jones We went out Tuesday again by "E" buoy.  Ran our warts 90 back & spoons @ 70.  We caught our 3 person limit but took about 5 hours.  Warts worked well this time, better than the spoons.  Light, flash type colors seemed the best today. We were in 20 to 24 fow

July 15 - Rob Downham  Myself and Big Will fished Stoney pt. between Fermi 23-25 fow couple on spoons but rest came on bb & harnesses & meat. Orange crush seemed to be hot color. most fish 15-17" range got two that were 20"s. two man limit but had to work for them. If that's  work I'm hired. good fishing.........

July 14 - Ron Koziel  Monday morning(7/13) Holiday beach.  Bonanza!  Started fishing 8:00am and got by 6th fish by 8:15.  Many fish were 14-15 inches.  Caught 24 by 9:30 and kept my one man limit of 6 averaging 17 inches (largest was 20 inches).  21 FOW just west of radio tower.  There was small pack of boats east of tower but I found my own pod of extremely active fish. As soon as I reset pole #1 pole #2 went off and vice versa, incredible time.  Used #1 Dipsy (#3.5 setting) with spoons (Superman/rainbow color was the definite winner) about 45 - 55 feet back).  Fish shut off completely by 10:00am.

July 13 - Jerry Hinton, Mike Pasik and neighbors Andy and Kenny headed over to Holiday Beach when the workin guys got off work, about 6:00 pm. Had our 24 fish and was headed back by 9:00. Harnesses and meat with no particular blade color. Pulling back between 35 and 45 ft was best. A 3 oz bottom-bouncer did well also. No fish bigger than 19" but no need to zipper them either. Great night on the water with a couple new fishing buddies.

July 13 - Mark Bodrie Went out by Fighting Island Sunday using bottom bouncers. 3 walleyes, one 9lbs, one 4lbs and one 3lbs. Don't ask what color, being color blind I don't know? All in approx. 31fow.

Good afternoon on the water with a bunch of great guys.

July 10 - Chuck Jones  "E" BOUY in 24 FOW we ran spoons & warts 50 back.  The warts didn't work at all???>>???
Spoons were the answer.  Confusion and any purple was the answer.  Light colors didn't seem to work at all ????.
Started out @ Fermi but the weeds were way tooooo bad!!!

July 9 - Greg Warsow Bob Frank & I fished Holiday Beach today from 10:30 am to 3:00 pm.  Nice ride there then the East wind kicked up a bit, 1 to 2 footers.  Pulled night crawler harnesses with 1 oz inline weights & inline boards. 25 to 30 feet back.  1.0 to 1.6 mph in 21 fow.  Kinda slow day but was able to land 12 wallys.  Great day on the water.

We caught 8 walleye and other fish but the muskie fishing was unreal. Art caught two muskies within three minutes of each other. I know if one of you was to tell me this story I would be thinking to myself, guy must've been on some drugs, it's impossible to catch that many muskie in one day much less a career of walleye fishing.
