Do-it-Yourself Rod Storage

I recently ran across a very efficient, space saving, inexpensive rod storage setup that anyone with a few rods might find useful. All it takes is a couple 1 x 3’s, some pipe brackets, screw hooks and a ceiling (garage/basement).

The rod butt is simply slid into the pipe bracket

and the blank is set into the screw hook

When I saw this setup in Jerry Hinton’s garage, I was very impressed with its simplicity and ease of use.

For a few dollars and a couple hours, you can easily store your rods where they will be out of the way and take up unused space, but also where they will be safe from accidental damage!!
