Tattle
Flag - Do it Yourself!! If you’ve seen a tattletale flag set up. You can see how there is a thin wire that is bent thru the flag and runs from the flag to the rear of the board. Where the wire has a bead and loop after running thru a small eyelet Make your own version. Buy stainless steel welding rod at any welding shop. You can get at least 2 flag kits from each welding rod. ( around 1/16” or what they have ). Remove the eye screw from the front/rear of the board and screw it into the hole that is already in the rear side of the board. Measure the wire for the wire length you’ll need after twisting a loop in one end. Put on a bead as a stop. Make a washer out of a margarine lid or similar plastic lid. Assemble like photo. Cut a notch into the board at the top small hole. Use a regular rubber band wrapped around the board front arm and the bent welding wire that came thru the flag. By moving the rubber band from front to the back you can adjust the tension very easily as the rubber band stays stuck in notch.
