Walleye Chowder
submitted by Mike Barkley

This is a hearty chowder that can be easily modified to suit your own needs or taste.

10 medium potatoes, diced
Walleye
2 diced onions
2 cans whole kernel corn
6 slices crumbled bacon (I cheated and used a jar of Hormelís Real crumbled bacon, not Bacon bits)
2 cans condensed Cream of Celery soup
Chopped Bell pepper (optional)
Salt & pepper to taste
Dash of hot sauce
Milk

Just cover the potatoes and onions with water and cook until almost done and add cubed walleye and cook until potatoes are done (donít overcook the fish).

Add the soup, bacon, corn, peppers, seasoning, hot sauce and whatever else you want.

Add milk as desired. If you want it thicker, mix a couple of spoons of flour and milk and add to the chowder and bring to a boil to thicken.

The beauty of this chowder is itís versatility! You can tailor the recipe to fit your own needs.
