Feb 5 - John Sparkman Have been doing well in hole below east Stoefelt bridge. Mark the day I saw you there we got 48

Jan 31 - Mark Schaller  My son Jacob needed to get some hours in on his learners permit so I had him drive me around to check out the fishing. They are catching perch through the ice at Lee Rd. I must have seen about 50 to 75 perch on the ice with quite a few in the 10+ range. If anyone is thinking about launching at LEMP to fish the canals forget it. The whole area around the ramps is frozen

Jan 31 - Fished 1/21/10 @ Squaw Lake for bluegill; I got skunked and I didn't see anyone else fishing.

Jan 23 - Jerry Hinton, Mike Pasik and Mark Schaller fished the canals in Gibraltar for perch. Very slow. Caught a couple good ones but many dinks and shad to steal the bait. Maybe a bit early?? But nice to be with friends and hold a fishing rod again. Saw Sparky today, glad to report he looks good and says he feels good too.

Nov 22 - Mark Schaller Went out this morning in the fog to try and pick up a few walleye.  I covered a lot of water today, started out at Humbug Marina and caught nothing.  Moved up the the Edison Discharge and picked up one on a #11 Orange Rap.  Moved over to the East side of Calf where I picked up another on a #9 Clown.  Tried the west side of calf and came up empty.  Moved north of calf in 16 feet of water due east of the head of Humbug Island and picked up 3 on a #11 Chartreuse Rap.  All males 16 to 20 inches long and full of baitfish.  water temps were around 47 degrees and clear.  Started at 8:30 am and quit at noon.  I caught the last 3 between 11:30 am and noon.

Nov 15 - Mark Schaller Took a drive down to Luna Pier tonight to see if anything was going on.  Water was crystal clear, no floating weeds, lots of minnows cruising the shoreline and no walleye following them.  I talked to one guy who said he was there until 11:00 pm last night and only two fish were caught.  Apparently Monday (Nov. 9th) they really got into them.  Oh Well.

Oct 21 - Patrick McGrath  Perch fishing Tuesday afternoon south east of Grassy Island. 5 keepers from 3-4 PM. Nothing from 4-5:30. Found keepers in 4' FOW on both green and orange rigs with shiners. Water is clearing up.

Oct 20 - Mark Schaller  Went out perch fishing this morning with my Dad and fellow club member Richard Silagi.  We ended up with about 15 keepers and 5 throwbacks all east of Powderhouse Island.  The water is finally clearing up.  Most of the fish were in the 8 - 10 inch range and a few over 11 inches long.

August 31 - Mark Schaller Went 8 for 8 on the Bows (Steelhead) and Eyes today handlining in the Trenton Channel.  All of the 15 inch Bow's were caught just ahead of the discharge channel.  I released all but one that was hooked pretty bad.  The eyes were caught west of the Catamaran, 3 on the 40' lead (Corn) and one on the 20' lead (Chartreuse Watermelon).  I also picked up about 7 Smallies ranging from 8 to 15 inches.  Lucky's GSC, Chartreuse Watermelon and a "Corn" Denny Spoon picked up all the fish.  Around 11:00 am I went over to Powderhouse Island and caught about a dozen perch of which I only kept 3, 9 to 10 inchers.  Water was clear, a few floating weeds and 67 degrees.
